Finding your way to counseling can be an important step when dealing with times of change, difficulty or chaos in our lives. Counseling can help us take time and space to reflect on our experiences, our relationships and receive care and empathy during times of struggle. I believe that through self exploration of our past and present along with reflection on who we are as individuals, that counseling can help empower us to clarify our goals, direction and help us ultimately feel better. Often times we can feel alone when it comes to navigating our lives but we don’t have to be. The counseling relationship is an integral part of the healing process and I would be honored to help you on your journey to wellness.
Some of the issues clients seek counseling for are:
- Difficult Life Transitions
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Relationship Struggles
- Addictions (both substance and behavioral)
- Self-Awareness/Self-Esteem
- Trauma
- Grief and Loss
- Body Image Struggles/ Disordered Eating
I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Portland State University, and a Masters Degree in Education from Fordham University. I have over 10 years of experience working with diverse individuals and groups in both scholastic settings and in counseling centers. I use a broad range of counseling modalities and techniques, and tailor my work to the unique needs of each client. Along with individual and couples counseling, I run groups based around particular themes such as living with anxiety, self-esteem, and women’s fertility issues, pregnancy loss and postpartum life.
